I am alone in a crowd of people - English Poem

 I am alone, in a crowd of people,

My heart is heavy, I cannot seem to settle.

I feel so small and insignificant,

In this throng of people, I am so different.

My worries, my fears, they all seem to crowd in,

I feel engulfed, like I'm wearing a thin.

My loneliness only grows as I stand here,

I wish for someone to offer understanding and cheer.

I am alone, in a world of faces,

I can only feel my inner aces.

My heart cries out for just one to care,

The darkness around me I can't bare.

I am alone, but I can still find hope,

I must take courage, I must cope.

For I know that I'm not the only one,

There are others who feel this pain and I will overcome.
