It's a dark night, so still and quiet - English Poem

dark night

The dark night is so still,

The silence so loud and shrill.

The stars so far and bright,

Against the darkness, so light.

The moonlight so pale and thin,

Against the sky it does begin.

The shadows so long and deep,

In the night they do creep.

The chill in the air so cold,

It's ebony night that we behold.

The darkness all around us tight,

It's a dark night, so still and quiet.
